Caritas Switzerland has allocated a fund of €80,000, designated exclusively for activities in the agriculture and livestock sectors. These funds will be made available with a five-year repayment period, under exceptionally favorable conditions for local farmers.

For the first time, all beneficiaries of this credit program will enjoy a declining annual interest rate of 7%, one of the lowest rates in Kosovo and the region, offered by a financial institution such as IF Lesna.

Caritas Switzerland has provided these funds to the Lesna Financial Institution interest-free for a five-year period, enabling Lesna to extend affordable and accessible financing to farmers.

This initiative is expected to stimulate agricultural development and empower farmers in these three municipalities, strengthening local production capacities and promoting sustainable rural growth.
